The National Firefighter Training and Carding Association (NFTCA) would like to help you with Incident Management, table top drills, and training. We have assembled a group of ICS trained professionals to augment your Incident Management Team.

Our team is designed to fill the leadership positions in your planning section. Individuals of our team are trained to ICS 420 and can fill other positions that you may need filled.

The sections would include a Plans Chief, Resource Status Officer, Situation Officer, and a Documentation Unit Leader. We can also augment your logistics section with “Receiving & Distribution Manager” to help your company with loss prevention.

Combined the team has over 100 years of experience with the incident command system on all hazard incidents. The team includes one member that has 40 years of fire experience and 27 years as a Hazmat Incident Commander, two members have a combined total of more than 40 years in the fire service, and two of the members have a combined total of over 40 years with the US Coast Guard.

The NFTCA plans and logistics team has been assembled to assist on any incident with the formation of an incident action plan. The team will not play a role at the Incident Commander (IC) nor the Operation Chief (OC) level. The team will work with the IC and OC to write the operational period Incident Action Plan (IAP.) The Plans Section Chief (PSC) is the overall coordinator of the team; he will conduct all meetings required through the current IAP. The PSC will conduct all briefings for the new IAP. The Resource Unit Leader (RUL) will track (in real time) resources coming and going throughout the incident working closely with Logistics and Ops. The Documentation Unit Leader (DUL) will track and document all documents while organizing the IAP. The Situation Officer (SO) will track and monitor the current status of the incident by collecting intelligence information from the field. That information then will be passed along to all members of the team the info then will be added to documentation for record keeping

The Receiving and Distribution Manager working in the logistics section (can expand to Logistics Chief if needed) will be tasked to order equipment as requested. The equipment will be received in staging and logged in. At that point the equipment will be available for an operation and checked out to crew members who request that equipment. The checkout process will identify the division equipment headed, person name and company they belong with, and their strike team number if they have one. The documents from logistics will go to documentation for record keeping.

The team is designed to assist any emergency response team in the management of their incident. The team is there to make your team more efficient at their jobs, along with cost control and documentation for your reporting agencies and billing department.
